School excellence plan

Our school excellence plan (SEP) is a working document that shows our priorities in learning, teaching and leading. It explains our focus areas for improvement and how we plan to get there. We write our SEP with help from our school community so it reflects our shared priorities.

School behaviour support and management plan

Our school has a school behaviour support and management plan (SBSMP). The SBSMP helps us create a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment for all students. It sets clear expectations for student behaviour. This includes how we respond to bullying and cyberbullying. We work together with our school community to shape the plan and review it each year.

Home learning procedures

The South Wagga Public School community recognises that while home learning is an important aspect of schooling, students also need to have time to spend with their family as well as time for play and cultural and physical activities outside of school.

Photography and Filming procedures

We appreciate that families want to take photographs or videos in schools. Generally, taking photographs or videos on departmental premises should not occur. Where applicable, staff and parental or student permission should be obtained.

Student Leadership procedures

At South Wagga Public School, the development of life-long leadership skills is one of the learning opportunities offered to all students. Having effective student leaders supports the development of responsible behaviours, a positive school tone and encourages students to model the values of integrity, excellence, fairness, responsibility, democracy, co-operation, participation, respect and care
