The Premier's Reading Challenge (PRC) aims to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students, and to enable them to experience quality literature. It is not a competition but a challenge to each student to read, to read more and to read more widely.
The PRC booklists open doors to a rich collection of children’s literatures representing a range of books including picture books, junior and senior fiction as well as non-fiction texts. A wide variety of Australian authors are always represented.
All students at South Wagga Public School will initially access their online reading record during technology lessons to register their participation in the challenge. Students can access their personal reading log and booklists online, using their school username and password, at the PRC website at www.premiersreadingchallenge.nsw.edu.au . For more information about the PRC itself, tips for parents and caregivers and rules etc please visit the website. If you have any further questions do not hesitate to contact the school.
